Preparing the homebound meals takes place
Monday-Friday
8:45 AM-10:15 AM.
Our volunteers can either put the food in the trays, seal the trays, or put the trays in bags with the rest of the food our homebound meal recipients will receive.
Our volunteers would be serving lunch to those who join us in the dining room 11:00am-1:00pm
Monday-Friday
If you would like to volunteer please call to discuss the schedule as we have to limit the amount of volunteers we have at one time.
There is a lot of prep that goes in to making 200-300 meals daily. We could always use help with things like cutting and bagging bread, desserts, vegetables, etc. You can schedule an hour or two any time
8:00 AM - 1:00 PM when doing the daily food prep.
It takes a couple days to get all the meat cut, or prepped for the following week. If you would be interested in coming in one or two days a week to help with that please let us know.
Some of our volunteer drivers need someone to ride with them. The helper would go with the driver and take the food to each homebound person. You would only need to volunteer a couple of hours.
Volunteer delivery drivers faithfully donate their time and gas to deliver meals to those in the Zanesville city limits that, for a medical reason, cannot get out of their home or make their own meals. This is a great opportunity to give back, not only for individuals but also couples, friends, etc.
If you are more comfortable helping with stocking, sorting, etc., we can use the extra help with that as well!
If you are unable to volunteer here we LOVE to receive homemade baked goods like brownies, cookies, etc.
If you are interested in volunteering just a couple hours out of your day please give Candi a call at
740-452-9766.
